Herzog & de Meuron, the firm led by the Pritzker Prize-winning duo behind such architectural wonders as the Beijing National Stadium (better known as the Bird's Nest) in China, recently finished work on this very rectangular soccer stadium in Bordeaux, France. It may at first seem odd to impose such rigid, rectilinear order on a 42,000-seat venue for the Beautiful Game, but take a gander at these photos and tell us this isn't the raddest contemporary stadium out there.
