Spanish Revival Mess in LA Remade Into a Showstopper

Few things say California like a bright white Spanish-style house tucked into the winding hills of Los Feliz. This ground-up restoration piece (see the dire "before" photos), via Take Sunset, contains "a considerable amount" of custom wood- and tile-work, like those vaguely Southwestern tiles in the kitchen and the Saltillo tile on the patio, the listing says. The living room has cathedral ceilings and dark wood floors that extend through the rest of the house; each of the bedrooms has an attached bathroom and connects via double doors to the residence's back patio. The house also has a detached two-car garage between the main building and the street. Last sold in 2014 for just $200,000, it's now asking $929,000.
