London's Soane Museum Reimagined as Melting Alien Dinosaur

New, 2 comments

Look, we're not going pretend that we totally understand what's going on here, but University of Applied Arts Vienna, Studio Excessive student Che-Kuang Chuang created this reimagining of the Sir John Soane Museum in London for his Diploma Project, and it's just about one of the strangest designs for a building we've ever seen. As eVolo describes it, "soft, flexible rubber has been applied into the structure system, interior space and architectural organization. The rigid metal, concrete and glass play the roles as molds to shape the deformable rubber." In any case, it's very fun to look at.
