The Oldest House For Sale on Cape Cod Was Once Owned by an Ancestor of Three U.S. Presidents

Meet Mulberry Cottage, the oldest house for sale on Cape Cod in Massachusetts. This adorable abode was built in 1640, long before there was a United States or a Commonwealth of Massachusetts and just a year after the town of Barnstable was incorporated as part of Plymouth Colony. The original owner sold it to Samuel Hinckley, apparently an ancestor of Meet Mulberry Cottage, the oldest house for sale on Cape Cod. This adorable abode was built in 1640, long before there was a United States or a Commonwealth of Massachusetts and just a year after the town of Barnstable was incorporated as part of Plymouth Colony. The original owner sold it to Samuel Hinckley, who was, apparently, an ancestor of President Barack Obama and former Presidents George H.W. Bush and George W. Bush.
