Another big addition to the season pass wars: the Mountain Collective just announced that they've added Australia's Thredbo Resort to the lineup. The ski area down under is Mountain Collective's second new resort for 2015-2016; two months ago they announced that Sun Valley, Idaho would also be joining the ranks. On sale for just $379, the Mountain Collective Pass now offers two days of skiing or riding at nine destinations (AltaSnowbird, Aspen Snowmass, Jackson Hole, Mammoth Mountain, Ski Banff-Lake Louise-Sunshine, Sun Valley, Squaw Valley/Alpine Meadows, Whistler Blackcomb, and Thredbo) plus a 50 percent discount on all additional days with no blackout dates. The announcement also shows just how interested the North American ski industry is in Australian skiing at the moment. Last month, Vail Resorts announced their first international acquisition of Perisher Ski Resort.
