Chef Kelly Liken just announced that she is selling the restaurant space in Vail's Gateway Building. The final dinner service at Restaurant Kelly Liken (one of our top 18 places to eat in Vail) will be on Saturday, May 16. Liken opened the popular Vail spot in 2004 and soon catapulted to fame by competing on season 7 of Bravo's Top Chef. Liken was also a James Beard Award Semi-Finalist for Best Chef Southwest in 2009, 2010, and 2011. Now, she's keeping the Kelly Liken brand and looking for a "new opportunity" in the Vail Valley. A new restaurant called Vintage will be opening in the Gateway building space this June. Brodie Broderick is the owner and general manager of the all-day concept, which will serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner at "approachable price points."
