For reasons unknown, but probably having to do with The Lego Movie, there seems to be some kind of widespread epidemic happening where people are moved to imagine what the world would be like if the world was made out of LEGO bricks. In Germany, graffiti artist MEGX has painted a bridge to look like it's made out of giant LEGO bricks, and on the internet, Swedish web developer Einar Öberg has created a Google Maps filter that transforms any location that you find on Street View into an alternate LEGO version. (Sort of. It helps if the location you're transforming is a straight highway in a flat stretch of desert or is already very blurry.) How far are we from having actual LEGO towns that people can move to? Five years, give or take?
