We already know that Aussies have the home-extension game on lock, but this Melbourne addition, which takes its form from the gabled, transparent profiles of dollhouses, takes the cake. Designed by local architecture firm BKK Architects, the two-story annex in a suburb of the Australian city provides additional space on the back of an existing, bungalow-like timber house. Muscular wood ceiling beams and timber framing in the addition provide an aesthetic tie between the new structure and the old one. Other touches, like geometric tiles in a range of cool hues, make this the most chic life-size doll house we've seen.
