Capturing Portugal's 'Lonely Houses' in Dreamy Portraits

In an ongoing photo series on his Instagram account @Sejkko, scientist and photographer Manuel Pita has been exploring notions of "home" through surreal portraits of Portugal's solitary, traditional houses. The photos, which Pita captures and edits on his iPhone, document each structure's distinct personality. Each snapshot is accompanied with a caption, which Pita sometimes uses to point out delightful details, like a trident on the roof, or to muse about a house's backstory.
