This remarkable cabinet is making waves—in every way. Designed by Sebastian Errazuriz, it features wooden slats made of Baltic birch that ripple open with hypnotic precision. Opening the Wave Cabinet from one side lifts the top and allows you to reach down into the storage area. Pulling from the other side opens the cabinet from that side only, keeping the cabinet top (and whatever's stored upon it) firmly in place. In his artists' statement, Errazuriz says "I love the idea of creating beautiful furniture; [but] I am much more interested in using the medium as an excuse to trigger people's curiosity and create a connection with them." Consider our curiosity peaked.
