If you live in a small apartment and don't mind it looking like a glorified urban barn full of wooden framing, then Spanish architecture outfit elli might have a space-saving solution for you. "Susaloon," the intervention they designed for a 260-square-foot main living area of a Madrid pad takes the "black box theater" approach, in which a system of fold-down and sliding tables, guest bed, and storage gives the otherwise unadorned space a multitude of uses.
