This past week, Mt. Ashland Ski Area officials launched a public fundraising campaign with the goal to raise $650,000. The ski area hopes to raise the money before the end of the year and wants to use the funds to mitigate low-snow conditions. While Mt. Ashland opened for 38 days this past winter, it was closed due to low snow the previous two years.
