Designed by Portuguese architects Carlos Castanheira and Clara Bastai, this equestrian center uses massive timber structures to house large stables and indoor riding areas. The sweeping beams are functional but sculptural, crisscrossing and intersecting to create unique angular spaces that riders pass through. We can't speak for the horses but the design certainly seems suits us humans as pretty well.
