Steamboat Ski Area Master Plan Takes Step Forward

The Steamboat Today is reporting that Routt County commissioners agreed this week to allow Steamboat Ski & Resort Corp.'s 2011 master plan to also serve as a conceptual plan at the country level. The development plan was already vetted by the U.S. Forest Service, and it will now serve as the conceptual planned unit development (PUD) with the country. This means that the the planned locations of new restaurants and ski lifts don't need new planning permits, although all projects including buildings greater than 1,000 square feet would come back to the country for a final PUD.
