Costa Rican Hotel Is Made Out of an Actual Airplane

"Inspired by a Forbes Magazine article about a company offering hurricane-proof living via surplus Boeing 727 airframes," Hotel Costa Verde in Costa Rica built this hotel out of an authentic vintage 1965 Boeing 727 airframe. Even more surprisingly, this isn't the only converted airplane out there (though it may well be the most luxurious)—Inhabitat ran a piece today, in fact, about an airplane-turned-kindergarten-classroom in Georgia (the country), and an Oregon man turned a plane, also a Boeing 727, into his home a few years ago.
