8 Mountain Rental Retreats With Baller Swimming Pools

Sure, we all come love to ski, but what about when there's no snow on the ground, or you're just plain sick of the cold? Luckily, the mountains are just as cool in the summer, especially if you spend your vacation in one of these amazing pools. We've reviewed some of ski country's best swimming spots before, but now you have a chance to have the pool all to yourself. Beware, a kickass rental with a pool doesn't come cheap (though we do have a couple of budget friendly locations on the list), but if you've got a few thousand dollars kicking around the bottom of your ski bag, you won't want to miss these gorgeous bodies of water.

South Lake Tahoe, CA: This self-proclaimed mansion boasts the first of many ski country indoor pools. After you've lazily done your laps, dry off by the fire or hit up the sauna. Then enjoy dinner on the adjoining patio followed by a dip in the outdoor spa or a movie in the 18-seat movie theater. Rates are $2,500/night for this 9-bedroom, 9-bath stunner.

Mt. Hood, OR: One of our more wallet-friendly options, this Mt. Hood guest house has a pool with one of the prettiest views around. With plenty of summer events happening in the area and easy access to the Salmon-Huckleberry Wilderness area, we'd recommend booking your summer getaway ASAP. At only $250/night and accommodations for up to four, this is a great family or couples retreat.

Deer Valley, UT: If you've ever dreamed of living like a playboy bunny, this rental from Curbed Ski-favorite Resorts West is for you. One of many amenities in this "Ski Dream Home" is an outdoor grotto complete with waterfall and heated pool deck. Just how much will Hugh Hefner-esque luxury set you back? Rates are $16,500/night with a 5-night minimum for the 6-bed, 10-bath manse.

Aspen, CO: Colorado's luxury playground, Aspen, has some of the priciest rentals we've seen. But with all those hard earned dollars come some of the most unique homes and amenities. The lush park-like setting of this 6 bed, 6 bath house's yard is no exception. The outdoor pool emulates the clear mountain lakes, with a rock bottom and a flowing waterfall with epic views of Pyramid and Aspen Highlands mountains. Rates begin at $6,500 for summer and $9,000 for winter.

Aspen, CO: Unique architecture, spectacular floor to ceiling views, and easy access to the mountains are all defining features of this Aspen home. Throw in a trendy indoor pool and you're never going to want to leave. The wood-paneled modern pool makes for a relaxing treat after a day exploring Aspen, in either winter or summer. The 6-bed, 8-bath home rents for $4,510/night, with variable rates depending on length of stay.

Beaver Creek, CO: While Deer Valley offered the opportunity to live like Hef, Vail lets you pretend to be president. Gerald Ford's Beaver Creek home features the only indoor lap pool in Beaver Creek Village. If you want to really emulate the 38th president, you've got to do at least two lap swimming sessions a day. The price of this 7-bed, 8-bath 10,000 sq. ft. history buff's dream is only available upon request. Yikes.

Stowe, VT: For something a little different, head to Morristown, VT to enjoy some east coast ski country charm. This farmhouse located 6 miles from Stowe Mountain Resort's year-round amenities has one of the most family-friendly pools we've seen. At only $295/night with seasonal rates available and room for up to 9 people, it makes the perfect summer family retreat.

Val d'Isere, France:Let's head overseas, shall we? This French Alps chalet is carved out of a 1682 monastery and serves up serious luxury. Unfurl yourself from one of the 8 fur covered beds and enjoy a day on the mountain. Afterwards, if you're not taking advantage of the outdoor/indoor pool, you must be unable to swim. Rates range from $4,462-$17,935/night for this dual property 8-bed, 8-bath beauty.
