Seattle's famous Edith Macefield House, also know as the real life version of the house from the Pixar movie Up, is probably a goner. The mother-daughter duo who recently purchased the stubborn structure are not going to be able to convert it into a pie shop because it would be prohibitively expensive to make it comply with the city commercial code. It seems like the only hope now is some higher power, like the city itself (or maybe Disney?), intervening, but don't hold your breath.
