Location: Agoura Hills, California
Price: $1,095,000

Located right outside of the Santa Monica Mountains national park, this SoCal post-and-beam dream was originally designed by midcentury architectural firm Buff & Hensman, better known for designing Case Study House #20. Following a later redesign by Los Angeles-based architect Jay Vanos, the 1964 house now sports raised ceilings with added skylights and clerestory windows, which make for a super bright and airy interior. The four bedroom, 3,700-square-foot residence features a very open living, dining, and kitchen area surrounded by sliding glass doors that lead to outdoor decks and gardens (though the whole site is looking ultra "drought-era California.")

The home, which has high-density cement board floors, stone countertops, stainless steel appliances, and a host of hardwood built-ins, was last sold for $425K about twenty years ago—so it could use some polishing from a loving new owner. It's now asking $1.095M.
