Vermont Town Wants to Resurrect Local Ski Hill

Although we might be living in the age of the mega-ski resort (just ask Park City), there's another trend happening simultaneously in the ski world: the revival of local ski hills. Now, the eastern Vermont town of West Windsor is looking to join ski areas like Wyoming's Antelope Butte in raising money to bring back Ascutney Mountain Resort. The ski area went bankrupt and shuttered in the summer of 2010, but it could be transformed into a community recreation area if the town can raise $900,000.
