In an age with ever-rising costs and stagnant skier visits, the ski and snowboarding industries are looking everywhere for solutions on how to bring new blood into the sport. Perhaps one of the most promising ideas is to build urban terrain parks that are more affordable for and closer to kids. Transworld SNOWboarding tackled the complex world of community terrain parks in their November 2014 print issue, but the article is now available online. While some parks are community success stories (just ask Denver's Ruby Hill terrain park), others have been non-starters.
