Clooney Lists Lavish Cabo Retreat, May Get $50M

New, 1 comment

While the prospect of vacationing like George Clooney is remote at best for most of us, those wanting to at least pretend that they can match up to the movie star will soon have the chance to purchase his Cabo beach pad, according to Page Six. Not surprisingly, potential buyers may require a personal invitation as well as a small fortune, since recent estimates peg the sale price of the 7-bed, 10-bath spread at $50 million. Clooney plans to unload his beachfront escape, a cement-and-wood retreat designed by famed architect Ricardo Legoretta, a Barragán disciple, in order to spend more time with Amal in England and LA. However, the star will still have a place in Cabo; the building is part of a complex that also includes the home of Clooney friends and fellow power couple Rande Gerber and Cindy Crawford (the longtime friends built the homes at the same time). Amal and George will just stay with them during vacations. Considering the friends call their homes Casamigos, it seems only close associates may need apply.
