Just in time for the 2015-2016, Crested Butte Mountain Resort is currently building a new umbrella bar at the mid-mountain Ten Peaks location. Costing around $1 million, the project will include a new bar, a 2,400 square-foot deck seating area, new restrooms, and a new cook cabin. Skiers can expect glass walls, a 35-foot diameter retractable umbrella roof, and seating for 75 people. The après should be top notch; 360-degree views surround the spot and the bar will feature 6 beers on top and plenty of Austrian mulled wine, called Gluehwein. You can bet we will check this spot out ASAP for possible inclusion into our best on-mountain dining and boozing spots.
