Jerusalem Couple Tries to Renovate House, Discovers 1st Century Bath Under Living Room

A Jerusalem couple wanted a house "with stones that are talking." What they ended up getting was a 2,000-year-old ritual bath, known as a mikveh, under the floor of their living room, which they only discovered while trying to replace the existing flooring. "During the construction work, the heavy-duty machines just dropped into the earth," one of the owners told NBC. If you're going to have a bunch of construction equipment fall through your floor, unearthing an archeological treasure trove is pretty much a best case scenario.
