Chinese Company Tries to Build World's Tallest Building, Ends Up With Lake Full of Fish

New, 2 comments

In 2012, Chinese company Broad Sustainable Building announced that it was planning to build the tallest tower in the world in a mere 90 days. If that sounds fishy to you, don't worry—it also sounded fishy to officials, who shut it down for days after its official groundbreaking in July 2013.

Things are even more fishy at the site these days, mainly because the building's 280,000-square-foot foundations have been filled with water and are reportedly being used as fish farms by local villagers. For every cloud, a silver lining.
