Carving out affordable units in a former school in Izegem, Belgium, local firm Lieven Dejaegheredeployed fritted-glass partitions that bring a mod aesthetic to the early-20th-century. According to Dezeen, the Heilig Hartschool went out of commission as a center for education in 2007 and plans were subsequently drawn up by a social housing company to convert the structure into affordable units. And the units—each one a former classroom—are rather nice, with their tall ceilings, light-filled open-plan spaces, and tile floors.
