Sometimes brokers describe houses as looking like castles and it's just not true. This is not one of those cases. This $495,000 house in (semi-appropriately) Dutchess County, New York definitely looks like a castle. It just looks like a castle that somebody created in a video game. According to the listing, the house, described as "Renaissance Retro," was built in 1972, which seems like it sort of explains the design, but, in reality, doesn't.
If there's one thing to take away from this it's that upstate New York is a great place to find some very strange castles.
