Former Obama Rental on Martha's Vineyard Asks $22.5M

Somehow, this notable Chilmark listing managed to escape our notice for over a week. Not only is this the pricey pad where President Obama and family spent their summer vacation in 2013, but it's also Martha's Vineyard's new most expensive single family. Beyond the First Family connection, the spread is, per the listing, "an award-winning triumph of design and execution." Yup, the six-bedroom, five full and two half bath residence is not only 6,967 square feet of stunning, it also sits 120-feet above the Atlantic Ocean and has breathtaking views. "Designed by Seattle architect Rick Sundberg, Falmouth landscape architect Steve Stimson and built by master builder Andrew Flake, the house flows continuously between interior and exterior spaces." Inside, the expected luxury bells and whistles include a chef's kitchen, marble baths, custom casework, multiple fireplaces, and floor-to-ceiling windows. Outside, there's a heated infinity pool, half-basketball court, a screened porch, terraces, and a two-bedroom guest cottage. In addition to the woodsy 9.5 acre hillside, the spread comes with "three private Atlantic Ocean beach lots accessed by boat across Chilmark Pond from your private dock." Asking price is a whopping $22,500,000.
