This one is a few weeks old, but but it's more than a few weeks hilarious, so worth looking at nonetheless. A pair of Brooklyn residents started an "Artisanal Rent Price Hike Sale" at their local deli to protest the deli's getting priced out. Items offered on signs posted in the window and around the store (but not actually for sale) include Dickson's Farm Condoms, Seasonal AA Battery Medley, "Hand-Fried" Chicken Cutlet Sandwich, and more. Will the campaign save the deli? Probably not. But at the very least, it will have gotten its proprietor some extra business in its final days.
