Mt. Hood's Timberline Resort closed to the public Aug. 2, cutting short what is typically North America's only full summer ski season. With no spring dump, the resort doesn't have the snow needed to stay open. The private camps on the mountain will stay open, but they're not unaffected by the snow shortage. Boise State Public Radio spoke with kids who flew in from around the world to train at Timberline only to find it lacking key items, such as a moguls course.
