The 468-acre Dungeness Estate is known as Britain's only desert, and it's now on the market for roughly the same price as a small one-bedroom apartment in London. We know which one we would buy.*
The large "shingle beach" is being listed by the trust that controls it for £1.5 million (roughly $2.3 million). It is populated by a nuclear power station (fun, but not part of the sale, unfortunately), and 22 properties—mostly small cottages. Also, judging from the pictures that come up when you Google it, a whole bunch of abandoned wooden boats.
*The apartment, probably, if we're being honest. But still—very cool desert.
