Lake Louise Gets OK for Major Resort Expansion

Canada's third largest ski area located in breathtaking Banff National Park could double the amount of skiers it can handle daily. Powder reports that Lake Louise had its controversial expansion plans approved this past weekend. The expansion would bump the resort from handling 6,000 skiers per day to 11,500 per day during the course of the next decade. It's not all congratulations, though, as more than 1,200 letters expressing concerns with the project were received in the public comment period.
