Anyone Want To Go on Vacation to a Secret Albanian Military Island?

Sazan Island, located off the coast of Albania, contains 3,600 nuclear bunkers, a vast network of underground tunnels, and a lot of barbed wire, and if that doesn't sound like a fun vacation, we don't know what does.

In all seriousness, though, the derelict military island, where 3,000 soldiers lived, isolated and in constant fear during the Cold War, sounds like a pretty incredible place to visit, and just started welcoming tourists. The head of local tourism clarifies: "It's not for mass tourism, it's for the thinking traveller who wants to come and experience a time capsule."
