Over in San Francisco, a complete remodel and extension of a single-family home in the Noe Valley neighborhood resulted in a bunch of dynamically lit spaces. Local studio Bach Architecture gave the streamlined dwelling a clear centerpiece in the form of a highly sculptural steel and wood staircase that showers the surrounding spaces with light from a large skylight and inverted corner window. Bespoke light shafts illuminates the bathrooms, highlighting the abundance of locally made ceramic tiles on the walls.
