Rocky Mountain Super Pass+ Adds Another New Zealand Resort

New, 1 comment

New Zealand might be having one of it's most epic seasons ever, so it can hardly be with better timing that the Rocky Mountain Super Pass+ (RMSP+) has added another resort on the island nation: Cardrona Alpine Resort. Set in the country's Southern Alps, Cardrona joins the pass' other New Zealand resort, Mt. Ruapehu, located on the northern island. Cardrona boast 850 skiable acres, four quad lifts and a vertical rise of just under 2,000 feet. With 55 percent of its terrain geared toward intermediate riders and another quarter for beginners, it's a good place for families and those just breaking into the sport. The best part: Plunk down the $599 now and you can take advantage of New Zealand's bountiful winter tomorrow.

Like many pass products, that's an early-bird price, which in this case is only good until Sept. 7. The RMSP+ gets you unlimited access to Winter Park Resort, Copper Mountain and Eldora. Access to the rest of the eight mountains — Crested Butte, Steamboat, Alyeska Resort and Mt. Ruapehu — is restricted. For the New Zealand resorts, the RMSP+ allows up to seven days at each.

Cardrona pass holders who want to experience a North American winter will be able to take in some days at Steamboat, Winter Park Resort and Copper Mountain if they purchase lodging.
