Resort at Squaw Creek Sees $7 Million Renovation

New, 1 comment

The Resort at Squaw Creek, in Lake Tahoe's Olympic Valley, is in the midst of a $7 million room renovation — it's first such overhaul in a decade. Described as "modern meets mountain design," the updates are an effort to evoke a sense of place and reflect the resort's natural surroundings. The resort's 405 rooms are being refinished with a new palate of neutral tones, metal and stone elements and some touches of color from area wildflowers goldenrod and lupine. Artwork from local photographers, such as Jeff Dow, completes the sense of place. The project's last phase should be finished in November — just in time for ski season.
