South America's Conditions are so Great it's Getting a Freeride Competition

August has brought so much snow to South American ski areas that it seemed like a good idea to take advantage of the conditions with a last minute Freeride World Qualifier event. Scheduled on short notice for this weekend, the competition set in the remote hamlet of Penitentes, Argentina, is taking anyone who wants to sign up, with a cap of 80 participants.
