We're getting closer and closer to being able to leave all our problems behind and go live on Mars, thanks to Buzz Aldrin and lettuce. But in the off chance that that doesn't work out, we now have a backup plan as well: a San Francisco-based "celestial funeral firm" called Elysium Space is offering, for a mere $11,950 (or $9,950, if you're one of the first 50 people to sign up), the chance to have your remains shot up into space and deposited on the moon. The service is being called "Lunar Memorials," and the company's failure to call it "Lunar Funerals" has us questioning pretty much everything about them. For the time being, though, they're the only celestial funeral firm out there, so we're more or less stuck.
