Artist's Exceptional Geodesic "Domestead" in L.A. Asks $890K

Northeast LA is quite the little geodesic dome stronghold, but this eco-friendly specimen certainly stands out from the rest. This early 1980s, tri-level "domestead" in Glassell Park is spread out over three levels, explains the dome's current owner, artist and activist Fritz Haeg, in a post on his blog (via Gregory Han). Starting from its base, there's a "huge skylit earth-sheltered lower level," then a "timber-framed kitchen," and finally, at the top, the dome and its surrounding deck that looks out on the property, which includes a quarter acre of gardens (fruit trees, edible plants, and drought-friendly plants, of course).

Pure visual deliciousness ahead. >>
