The Residences Viceroy Snowmass Unveils New Plans for 2nd Phase

The Residences Viceroy Snowmass is forging ahead with new plans for its second phase at Snowmass' Base Village. While some of the larger details of the Base Village project are still being sorted out, Viceroy Snowmass' developer, Related Colorado, has unveiled plans for a new owner's lounge, fitness center and teen rec room to be part of the condo-hotel's second phase. The additions to the 152-unit property (not including the 49 units that also will be coming with the second phase) were conceived by architecture and design firm Rockwell Group.

The new 1,660-square-foot owner's lounge sounds like it'll be part VIP room, part Old World study, with built-in seating, leather furnishings, a fireplace with a marble hearth and quilted leather pivot doors in addition to a library wall and back bar, a butler's bar, bronze detailing and seeded glass panels. It can also be transformed to host the owners' private soirées. And with planned access from the property's ski valet, owners can kick off their skis and glide into those deep leather chairs.

And while owners will likely be enjoying liquor older than their kids, the teens will get their own space, complete with a vintage arcade games (Does Time Crisis count as vintage? We hope so.), a movie theater, reading nooks and ping pong. The 2,575-square-foot fitness center will be strictly for owners, who also get access to the rest of Viceroy Snowmass' amenities, such as the spa, pool, slopeside valet and its dining and après scene. That's not even counting the forest therapy program if Viceroy Snowmass brings it back next year.
