Earlier this week we got word of a new video game, Calvino Noir, that features incredible architectural cross sections of real buildings while simultaneously looking like a pretty fun game. Assassin's Creed Syndicate seems to tilt toward the other end of the cool video game-great architecture spectrum, but it's also very impressive in the latter regard—set in Victorian England, the game's trailer shows of faithfully rendered recreations of some historic buildings such as Whitechapel Sawmill and Lambeth Asylum, as well as the standard landmarks like Big Ben and Buckingham Palace. We are truly living in the golden age of real life 19th century architecture in video games.
