Dutch architecture studio MVRDV these fanciful designs during the Beijing Design Week 2015 as a study into proposed solutions for the future of the hutong. Some of them seem to be a little tongue-in-cheek. The above rendering, for instance, depicts a house that tilts backwards to allow cars to park underneath it, which would work great as long as you don't have any possessions and wear a helmet whenever you're indoors.
We're not sure how this one helps with space, but it does look cool.
