The Books-As-Design Trend Has Reached a New Low

New, 7 comments

We would be remiss to not point out this photo from a new mixed-used development in Atlanta, of which Curbed Atlanta got a tour. This, it seems, is the nadir of the trend which has seen innocent books ripped from their homes (bookshelves) and forced into a lives as weird incongruous design elements. In this case, that involved taking a bunch of books and attaching them, spines in, a wall. And that's basically it. The pages are loose, so, technically, you could actually read these if you wanted to, which could be interpreted as a point in its favor.
