Victorian Australian Home Embraces Artwork to Dreamy Effect

New, 1 comment

There are many different variations to a beautiful Victorian-era home. This elegant Aussie abode, just profiled on The Design Files, shows how to furnish a grand circa-1887 house with modern and artistic flair. While the furniture, like a Cassina sofa, Eames coffee table, and a few covetable credenzas, skew towards the clean and minimal, the owners' incredible art collection adds fantastic color and texture. And in the case of one dining area painting, a calming depiction of a gallery scene by Australian artist Joanna Lamb, the artwork gives the room an extra sense of perspective.
