In what looks to be the trend of 2016, another ski area has added fat biking to their on-mountain services. A few weeks ago, Crested Butte Mountain Resort in Colorado announced that it would allow fat biking after hours on its groomed trails. Now, a ski area in Minnesota, Spirit Mountain, is set to allow mountain bikers to access downhill terrain in the winter. Starting January 17, snow-biking enthusiasts will be able to use bikes with 3.5-inch tires on lift-accessed trails.
