Chic bathrooms of late love to embrace design statements like retro subway tiles, geometric patterns, or a daring concrete minimalism. But there's always room for an exciting new idea. Enter Marmoreal, an engineered marble that mixes four kinds of Italian marbles to marvelous effect. Designed by British designer Max Lamb, Marmoreal will work for both interior and exterior architectural surfaces, becoming a material and pattern at once.
The first iteration of Marmoreal, which mixes Rosso Verona, Giallo Mori, Verde, and Verde Alpi marble, has recently been deployed in private bathrooms in cities Paris, New York City, and Los Angeles. As these photos show, it's quite different from marble as we know it. For details and specs, head to the online site of Dzek, a London-based company that develops designer architectural materials.
