New York City just saw 26.8 inches of snow, (its second-highest snowfall ever!), prompting a travel ban that effectively shut down the city. But not everyone stayed inside cuddled up in their blankets; a few die-hard skiers and snowboarders threw chains on their tires and decided to have some fun. It's not often we see people skiing and snowboarding through the streets of New York, much less skiing through a snowy Times Square with an American flag. And although the ski crew encountered some cops, even NYPD's finest didn't spoil the fun, telling the skiers "Someone complained, so we're just going to act like we're talking to you."
