Mt. Spokane Ski Area Forced to Halt Expansion Yet Again

New, 1 comment

After years of delays, the 80-acre terrain expansion of Mt. Spokane ski area has once again been stymied by environmentalists fearing the loss of valuable alpine habitat. Last week, Spokane County issued a grading permit to the ski area that would allow Mt. Spokane to start work on new ski runs and a new chairlift. But according to First Tracks, environmentalists who had just lost their legal battle filed an injunction with the Washington state Court of Appeals in Tacoma on Friday afternoon to halt the work. Stay tuned for the latest developments.
