The big local winner from snowstorm Jonas, Mountain Creek, located an hour north of New York City, currently has 38 of its 46 trails open with four lifts running and packed powder conditions. Mountain Creek also has several terrain park features on hill including 3 jumps and 17 jibs across the mountain. The resort is spread out across four peaks with seven lifts currently running and more lifts and runs opening every day. Mountain Creek offers night skiing as well, so you've got no excuses for not running to the hills.

Jonas Storm total: 16 inches
Located just over an hour from midtown Manhattan in the Hudson Valley, Mount Peter boasts 14 trails and five chairlifts. The resort runs the lifts until 9:00pm, so you can even cut out of work early and get in an evening ski. Currently the resort is reporting machine groomed powder conditions with 11 trails open and a 33–55 inch base.
↑ Camelback Mountain Resort, Pennsylvania

Just under two hours from midtown New York, Camelback currently boasts an 18–48 inch base depth with 33 of 35 runs open and 10 lifts running. Current conditions are being described as "soft and carveable." Temperatures are mild making the night skiing even more tempting, lifts run until 10:00pm. Bring a swimsuit to take advantage of the resort's famous indoor waterpark.
↑ Toggenburg, New York
Jonas Storm total: 10 inches
A few hours from from New York City, Toggenburg is a rustic ski area with a 60-year history in the area. The resort currently boasts a 40-inch base at the summit with four of five lifts running and about half of the 21 runs open. The resort also has night skiing and a great après scene in the Foggy Goggle.

Jonas Storm total: 8 inches
Another resort in the one-hour proximity to New York City, Thunder Ridge has fun beginner and intermediate runs with current conditions offering a 12–18 inch base and machine groomed/packed powder conditions. The mountain currently has 14 trails open and is running lifts until 9:00pm.
