Frank Lloyd Wright's nationally landmarked Robie House is actively seeking volunteer docents and is a great opportunity for anyone looking for an exciting and rewarding way to share Chicago's architectural legacy with others. Considered one of the finest examples of the Prairie School architectural style, the 106-year-old Robie House is located on the University of Chicago's Hyde Park campus and provides guided tours to the public seven days a week. The docent or "interpreter" certification process involves a three-week training program of online classes, seminars, and in-person informational workshops. Training is scheduled to take place March 1st through the 17th and offers sessions on Tuesdays and Thursday evenings as well as Saturdays.
