There is modern kids' furniture to be had, if you know where to look. Companies like Minneapolis-based Room & Board offer sleek children's offerings that won't offend the sensibilities of design-minded parents, for example. And last week, we brought you news of a collection of bent-metal-and-wood furnishings by Los Angeles-based designer Eric Trine, designed in collaboration with The Land of Nod. On the east coast, from New York City's Oeuf comes this new, minimalist line of desks for tots, a complement to the existing furniture, bedding, clothing, and more available. Named "Brooklyn," the collection is made of Baltic birch plywood and has simple rounded edges. The company isn't reinventing the wheel, here, but the offerings are great for parents who'd rather not have the brightly colored kids' furniture we've all come to expect—and, in some cases, would rather do without. Take a closer look at "Brooklyn" and everything else on offer over at Oeuf.
